The Renaissance was a time for massive innovation and invention and one man was over 200 years early to the party. Like, before the vol au vents were even baked. Spain was yet to be Spain, Islam was still leagues ahead of the smelly old Catholics yet one man decided to make the first ever novel... and computer! Ben Van DeR Velde explains all.
